Drills
Standard drill regrinds are produced on the Giddings & Lewis HR Drill Point Grinder, also known as the "Winslomatic." All drill points are reproduced to factory standards in all style drill points. These include conventional, helical, bickford and split points. Tru-Edge also regrinds all types of performance drills, spot drills, spade drills, step drills, core drills and center drills. We can reproduce all these specialty type drills.
Endmills
From the complex to the very simple, all endmill geometries are reproduced with CNC quality. These endmill regrinds are completed on the ANCA Fastgrind CNC Cutter Grinders. Our machines produce improved cutting conditions and longer tool life due to consistently accurate ground cutting loads.
Taps
Tap regrinds are carried out on the industry standard HYBCO Model 1100 Tap Grinder. We are capable of reproducing infinitely variable chamfer and relief angles on the cutting edge. Hook angles on flute polishing is generated by a built-in radius dressing unit.
Gun Drills
Gun drill regrinds are completed on our Eldorado Gun Drill Fixture. All point geometries are reproduced to the factory specifications. Specialty points and unusual geometries can be produced upon request..
General
Most all other general cutting tools are reground on a regular basis. This covers chasers, counterbores, countersinks, dies, gear hobs, keyseat cutters, lathe bits, meat cutters, mold cutters, mill cutters, port tools, punches, reamers, rota broach, router bits, saw blades, shaper cutters and spur bits. We can do most anything. In those rare instances where we cannot meet your needs, Tru-Edge Grinding have partnered with qualified sources that can do it.
Specials -- Manufacture and Alterations
Tru-Edge Grinding has the capability to recondition many types of modified standard tools and create special tool designs. From small lot quantities, to high production volume, tools can be reground to tight tolerances with consistent accuracy. Our knowledge, skill level and overall understanding of special tool requirements now allows customers to rely on a cutter grind source to repeatedly provide reconditioned tools, that once were available only as a new tool, through an original tool manufacturer. Tru-Edge Grinding can provide a precision regrind program for your special tools that can be tailor-made to meet your requirements.
Delivery
Being in West Central Ohio, our company is in the middle of the
U.S. Rust Belt. This is where most of the metal cutting industry
is located, so this allows Tru-Edge Grinding to run a daily pickup
and delivery in all four geographic directions. In our case,
medical industry to the west, auto industry to the north and east,
and aerospace to the south. All of this is within a one hundred
and twenty-mile radius. Turn around time is very important to make
a system like ours work, so our centralized location is very important
to our success. Anything outside of this radius is an easy
transport via any commercial carrier line.
Coating Options
Tru-Edge Grinding offers in-house PVD hard surface coatings utilizing industry leading Platit AG LARC technology. This state-of-the art equipment enables us to produce high-quality coatings with excellent accuracy and longevity and features the best cleaning operation available on the market today.
Tru-Edge Grinding has "partnered" with quality companies to provide services that are currently not offered in our facility at this time. We have been able to provide a "one-stop shop" and are capable of getting most any type of tooling reground or remodified.
