TRU-EDGE INSTALLS NEW PLATIT Π411 “QUAD” COATING VESSEL

Earlier this year Tru-Edge Grinding installed its third Platit PVD coating vessel – a Π411. We now offer PVD coating technologies that extend cutting tool life in difficult to machine materials, allow tools to run faster and increase part throughput, and improve performance of engineered special tools and reground tools. Two new “quad” coatings we have introduced are TiXCo® (TiN –nACo-ML – TiSiN) and ALL4® (AlCrTiN).

Recently, one of the owners and two members of top management staff of Tru-Edge Grinding took a trip to Augsburg, Germany for the international GrindTec show. The show focuses on all things cutter grinding, which is Tru-Edge’s core competency. It was a nice opportunity to network with others in the tooling industry, visit with existing contacts and reach out to potential suppliers and customers as well as being able to see and touch all of the cutting edge technology, coming to market.
